Mallenom Systems held an Iside.AI forum on artificial intelligence

On November 5th, Mallenom Systems and Cherepovets State University held the Inside.AI Forum on artificial intelligence for young specialists and industry professionals.

The forum was attended by about 300 students from 5 universities, as well as by representatives of the academic and business communities, who work with artificial intelligence.

«At the forum, we primarily sought to provide guidance for those who plan to become a developer or technology entrepreneur in the future. The IT field is very broad, we tried to narrow the area of attention of young specialists and highlight the use of artificial intelligence in business and industry. In our opinion, it is the field where great prospects are opening up now,» said Denis Basharov, Head of acceleration and educational programs at Mallenom Systems.

Experts from leading IT companies and universities shared their experience with the audience on the main stage of the Inside.AI forum. Oleg Kivokurtsev, founder and development director of Promobot, spoke about the company's success story in the Russian and foreign markets. The presentation by Anton Maltsev, the author of the blog «Notes about robots» and an expert in the development of machine vision systems, was devoted to the differences between machine vision in startups and corporations. Alexander Bukhanovsky, Director of Mega-Faculty of Translational Information Technologies at ITMO University, spoke about the developments of undergraduate and graduate students at the Research Center «Strong AI in Industry». Mallenom Systems Co-founder and Business Development Director Vladimir Tsarev offered the forum participants an overview of modern capabilities and applications of machine vision.

The moderator of the Machine Vision Applications section was Viktor Konokotin, Director of the Computer Vision Solutions Center of Sitronics Group. «Working with young personnel at the time of their studies at the university, when the guys are just learning new things, is an ideal approach that allows future specialists to understand where they should move and develop, and employers to find promising young personnel. Therefore, I believe that such a forum is certainly extremely interesting, it should well motivate students for further achievements,» Viktor commented.

In continuation of the forum, the Inside.AI Hackathon will take place from November 11th to 25th. Participants will be challenged to solve one of 9 problems and compete for a prize money.
