Automarshal 2.27: a new level of license plate recognition

We are happy to announce the release of a new version of the Automarshal license plate recognition software.

During past six month our engineers have been exceptionally busy with further training of neural networks for recognition of domestic license plates as well as ones for CIS and Europe. This development has allowed to significantly improve recognition accuracy under the following conditions:

  • dark time of day
  • steep camera angle
  • small numbers on the image (more than 3 cars in the frame at the same time)

We are also happy to share that now Automarshal features selection feature for the neural network model configuration, which helps to achieve an improvement in the software performance on computers that do not meet recommended system requirements.

Improvements have also been made to the emergency service vehicles recognition module. The introduction of a vehicle border detector on the frame now allows the system to more confidently determine the type of special vehicles (i.e. ambulance, fire and rescue, police).

The following lists contains other features that have been introduced to Automarshal software:

  • A new ACS.Gate protocol has been added to Automarshal.Gate, which supports all Latin characters.
  • In the web client, it became possible to configure for roles the display in the recognition log of information by numbers from a specific list. The functionality is useful for business centers and logistics complexes, which are used by many client companies. In the web client, each of them will be able to track only the data on their cars.

Automarshal version 2.27 is available for download from our website. If you have a valid license and purchased Automarshal less than a year ago, please feel free to specify this license when installing a new version of the software for a free upgrade.

If you currently do not own Automarshal license, please feel free to download the 15-day free trial version of the software from automarshal.net website. Please note the trial period will begin with the first launch of the software on your computer.
