Control of zones

When planning the construction site, locating areas and work spaces, vehicle and pedestrian passages, it is crucial to detect dangerous areas for people that arise due to manufacturing or material hazards. To avoid negative consequences that put life and health in danger, there is a need to control hazardous zones at the facility, detect if person has entered this high-risk area, instantly inform the administrative personnel about safety violation, and, if necessary, deactivate the equipment.

Dangerous and harmful industrial factors can always be present, arise periodically or emerge unexpectedly because of equipment malfunction or other accidents. Therefore, the hazardous zones can be static or dynamic based on the nature of these factors.

Identification of static hazardous zones

Hazardous zone can be added and configured by the system operator. This zone can have any shape and size. When the person enters the hazardous zone, the system logs this incident in the database.

Areas of implementation:

  • Metallurgy
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Industrial storage facilities
  • Chemical and petrochemical industry
  • Oil and gas industry
  • Electric power industry

Identification of dynamic hazardous zones

The shape and size of hazardous zone are identified with algorithms based on neural networks. Equipment is installed on the moving vehicle or moving object. The system notifies about presence of a person in hazardous areas with the help of a device that generates the light and sound.

Areas of implementation:

  • Electric power industry
  • Industrial construction and construction of high-rise structures
  • Logistics facilities and terminals
  • Sea ports
  • Railway stations

Advantages from implementation:

  • Improvement of work discipline and reduction in number of violations of industrial safety rules and regulations by the personnel
  • Reduction of operational costs (e.g. disability payments as a result of loss of working capacity due to industrial accidents) and costs for maintaining the staff of supervisors
  • Availability of the evidence during industrial accident investigation
  • Prevention of interruption in the facility operation as a result of an industrial accident
  • Minimisation of risks that can have negative impact on the facility’s reputation
