Monitoring the use of PPE and entry into hazardous areas at metallurgical production plant

In December 2022, Mallenom Systems and Electronika PSC implemented a pilot project to implement the EYECONT video analytics system at one of the Russian metallurgical production facilities.

The purpose of the system implementation is to control the compliance of personnel with industrial occupational health and safety regulations. Specifically, the upper management of the metallurgical plant wanted to implement the system which enables prompt detection of violations in the PPE use and entry in hazardous areas by the personnel.

The pilot stage of the project implementation required to demonstrate accurate and reliable operation of EYECONT system and its individual video analytics modules on the client’s premises. To be able to face the challenges of the unique environment of the implementation site, Mallenom Systems’ specialists have performed series of steps for adopting system algorithms to the optical conditions at the facility. As the result, the required detection accuracy was achieved and the pilot stage of the system implementation was recognized as successful by the director of the Electronika PSC project management office.
